DRIVERS

  1. Only persons named on the insurance policy at time of hire may drive the vehicle.
  2. Drivers must be over the age of 24 and under 75 and held a valid license for at least one year. Age groups outside this bracket may be insured with an additional premium and will be down to our insurer’s discretion.
  3. Driving licenses with endorsements maybe subject to a surcharge and must be declared before hire.
  4. Driving license to be produced on collection of vehicle.
  5. On collection of vehicle hirer will need to provide a form of ID along with a recent utility bill (original only).

 

INSURANCE

  1. Fully comprehensive insurance is provided within the hire charge and for the hire period only, driving outside this period of cover would deem to be an offence under the road traffic act. Furthermore the hirer is entirely responsible for any accidental damage, injury and consequential loss after the expiry of the hire period.
  2. The driver/s covered under the policy will be driving on a £600 excess.
  3. A refundable damage deposit of £600 is payable prior to vehicle collection or in the form of cash on the day of hire, in the event of an insurance claim the full £600 will be taken from the hirer to cover the insurance excess of £600.
  4. The damage deposit will be refunded on the satisfactory return of the vehicle, being on time and in the same condition it was hired. Deductions will be taken from this deposit in respect of any damage, late returns and equipment replacement costs that are not covered under the insurance policy. Any damage to the vehicle not covered under the insurance policy that exceeds the £600 damage deposit will be charged to the hirer at cost.
  5. It is advised that hirer takes out separate personal accident insurance when travelling in Europe.
  6. Any damage to tyres, windscreen and any theft or loss of personal effects is not covered by our insurance and shall be at your expense.
  7. Freeline motorhomes must be notified if hirer intends on leaving the country failure to do so would invalidate your insurance cover.

 

BOOKING DETAILS

  1. Reservations can be made either by telephone or online but will only be held once a completed booking form has been received with a deposit of £150.00 per week (non-refundable).
  2. Confirmation will be emailed within 7 days.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOW

  1. All cancellations in writing.
  2. Should you cancel your confirmed booking more than 8 weeks prior to commencement of hire you will forfeit your booking deposit.
  3. Should you cancel your booking up to 8 weeks prior to commencement of hire, you will forfeit your deposit and 50% of the hire charge.
  4. No shows will forfeit the entire hire charge.

 

PAYMENT

  1. Full payment is due 28 days prior to the collection of the vehicle along with your
  2. £600.00 (refundable) deposit.
  3. Payments can be made by cheque postal order or debit/credit card.
  4. Late returns will be subject to a charge of £40.00 per hour.

 

VEHICLE COLLECTION AND RETURN

  1. Vehicle hire is from Friday to Friday unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  2. Collection time is between 4.00 and 6.00pm and return time is between 8.00 and 10.30am.Failure to comply with these times will result in hirer being charged at the rate of £40.00 per hour.
  3. No refund is given for early vehicle returns.
  4. On return of the vehicle all hirers are to ensure the vehicle is clean and tidy and the chemical toilet is clean and free from waste. Each carries an additional charge of £40.00 deductible from the £500.00 deposit.
  5. It is entirely the hirer’s responsibility to check that on collection the vehicle is free from damage and defects.

 

DELAYS

Why we will endeavour to make every effort to ensure the vehicle is ready at the agreed time, circumstances may arise out of our control and we accept no liability other than, the refund of the day or days lost.

 

AVAILABILITY

Freeline motorhomes reserve the right to offer alternative models with the same or similar specifications to those advertised or booked.

 

BREAKDOWNS AND ACCIDENTS

  1. In the event of a breakdown or accident AA services will be at your disposal 24 hours a day 7 day a week.
  2. You are authorised to spend yp to £50 on necessary repairs and we will reimburse you against a valid vat receipt.
  3. Any repairs above £50.00 need to be authorised by a member of staff at Freeline motorhomes.
  4. Any breakdown, malfunction or damage caused by hirer’s negligence will be made good at your expense.
  5. Every effort is made to ensure the vehicle is in a roadworthy and safe condition
  6. Prior to each and every hire. Therefore Freeline motorhomes dissolves any responsibility for hotel or any other consequential expenses subsequent to a breakdown.
  7. However we will refund the loss for any complete days lost for the use of the vehicle providing you have documentation to support this claim.
  8. The maximum height of your vehicle is clearly stated. Any damage is the responsibility of the hirer.

 

FUEL, GAS AND WATER

  1. A full tank of fuel is supplied with the vehicle at commencement of hire and is expected to be returned with a full tank. A £30.00 charge will apply for any fuel shortage plus amount needed to fill tank. This will be taken from the £600.00 deposit.
  2. It is the hirer’s responsibility to check and maintain oil and water levels to vehicle specifications.
  3. Two gas cylinders will be supplied at commencement of hire; at least one will be full. The cost of refills thereafter will be the responsibility of the hirer and on return of vehicle at least one of these should be full.
  4. Any cylinders lost or incorrectly exchanged will be charged to the hirer.

 

GENERAL

  1. The hirer must ensure that all passengers must wear seat belts provided.
  2. The hirer is responsible for all parking/motoring offences during the hire period.
  3. The hirer is liable for all overhead damage to vehicle.
  4. The hire must ensure the vehicle is not overloaded and carries only the correct number of passengers as per vehicle specifications.
  5. The hirer must not use the vehicle for hire or reward.
  6. The hirer will not tow any vehicle or trailer behind vehicle.
  7. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is locked when left unattended.
  8. The hirer will ensure all hatches and doors are securely fastened during transit.

  SMOKING

The company operates a strict policy of no smoking within our motorhomes. Failure to comply with this could result in part or full loss of your hire deposit.

 

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO VARY RATES AND CONDITIONS AT ANY

 

TIME. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE HIRE TO ANY PERSON(S)

 

FOR ANY REASON AND NOT HAND OVER THE VEHICLE IF IT FEELS THE

 

HIRER IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHATEVER REASON. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REPOSSESS THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME, DUE TO MISUSE, DAMAGE OR ACCIDENT.

 

Upon signing the Booking Form the hirer is legally deemed to have agreed and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
